JOB SUMMARY

IXYS UK Westcode Ltd is part of IXYS Corporation, a leader in power semiconductor and power management/display integrated circuit manufacture, is looking to augment its R&D and Process & Yield team in its European High Power facility in Chippenham, UK. Of special interest are skills and experience in chemical engineering, process automation and/or general semiconductor processing.  The successful candidates will be part of the Process and Yield Group.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work within internal teams introducing new products, processes and equipment

Improve production results: cycle time, cost reductions in cooperation with the production, with a focus on process automation

Improve process control, reducing variations in production

Analyse root cause for yield losses in production, propose appropriate methods to improve yield, and initiate, follow up and control process change procedures

Continuous improvement of documentation for production

Carry out R&D projects in cooperation with internal and external partners

Training of production personnel


ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Technical degree or equivalent

Ability to analyse data with common IT tools

Problem solving ability

A general understanding of Power Semiconductor Physics, Devices and Processing would be useful.
